Nature Cure Explained (1950)

James Bond finds this book next to his bed and reads through it shortly after checking into the Shrublands Clinic in Chapter 2 of Ian Fleming's Thunderball. Fleming heavily annotated and underlined his personal copy of the book (nearly every line of every page in the chapter on massage is underlined). On the front endpaper, Fleming pithily lamented: “Health is a way of life — so is disease.”
